BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESS

 

 

Stars United Global Outreach offers the following signature programs under our Blueprint for Success Platform:

​

1.  Blueprint for Success Leadership Workshop

  • The Blueprint for Success Leadership Workshop is a fun, free and educational program designed to help kids build confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness with a keen focus on leadership.. 

2.  SMART Investments

  • Smart Investments is a four-week introductory workshop for teens that teaches financial literacy from basic principles such as checking and savings accounts to understanding stocks, bonds, and IRA's, learning how to invest in the market, and planning for their future after high school . This course will help teens learn how to develop a plan for building personal wealth while understanding basic investment principles.

3.  Entrepreneurship Program

  • The Blueprint for Success Entrepreneurship Program (BFSEP) overall mission is to prepare students not to only become job seekers, but rather job creators that will make an impact on the economic success of this country in the 21st century. 

4. Life Skills 

  • The Blueprint for Success Life Skills classes are designed to help build independence with a focus on social-emotional learning (SEL) skills that teens need such as relationship building, self-awareness , social awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, effective communication , and so much more.

5. Youth Ambassador Program

  • Through the Youth Ambassador Program, youth gain the confidence to be advocates in their schools and communities. This includes grassroots advocacy through community mobilization and transformation, as well as advocating throughout the city of Dallas. Students will leave the program feeling empowered to create change in their community – no matter how big or small!

6. Blueprint For Success Cultural Entrepreneurship Workshop

  • The Blueprint for Success Entrepreneurship class will provide a solid understanding of what entrepreneurship is, how to become an entrepreneur, and most importantly how our ancestors played a significant role in African Americans becoming business owners.

 

​Education is fundamental to overcoming and breaking the cycle of high drop out rates, leading to generational poverty.  Our programs provide a path to increased confidence, self reliance, and enhanced critical thinking skills. 

​

Participants must meet the following criteria:

​

  • Be 10-18 years of age

  • Attend an underserved school (for example struggling schools)​

  • Live in an underprivileged neighborhood (for example those with food deserts)

​

PROJECT STAR SEARCH

​

​

Through our year round mentoring program, students receive tutoring and homework support, as well as the opportunity to participate in cultural and recreational activities.  Our ultimate goal is to provide early intervention and prevention services through the mentoring relationship to youth ages 10-18 who are at risk of educational failure, teen pregnancy, truancy, and juvenile delinquency.
