Ashley Barnett was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her natural penchant for helping others came at a young age. At the age of 21, she began her teaching and community activism, as the Assistant Coach of the O.W. Holmes middle school Drill Team. As a coach, she taught and inspired girls of the community to be a better representative of their environment through dance, presentation, and perseverance. She developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector as she mentored through the dance development program. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life. In 2015, her community involvement continued as she became a volunteer for the Dallas Life Foundation. She is currently an active member of the Dallas Life Foundation where she feeds the homeless and sorts donation materials on a monthly basis. She most recently volunteers for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County and the Christian Community Action Food Pantry of Lewisville, Texas.
Twelve years ago Stars United Global Outreach was merely a dream. Today we are honored to create a positive atmosphere that will lead our youth in the best direction, to make sound educational plans, and career goals by providing life skills, leadership skills, provide strong mentors, and positive role models.
It's amazing what we can do when we come together. Thanks for the support that’s made it all possible!
Mrs. Star Williams
